This leads in combination with the low damage and high green cover to an underperformance of the grenadiers-squad in comparison to all other standard infantry units. The Wehrmacht Grenadiers has no additional weapon upgrade (apart from the tech-tree with MP40). In CoH and in every other RTS game you always need to be aware of your environment.Ħ. It is a RTS game, micromanaging your troops is in fact a core-function of such games. ![]() The current low damage makes the game not more tactical, I say that it favours blobs, because it is way easier and effective to just blob than doing some tactical movement, because you already knwo you can not kill a single enemy troop. In the current state you do not have to act careful in CoH3 because you can just run up to an enemy and and he will not be able to inflict any serious damage. High damage would make the game way more tacitcal, because you would have to act more cautious. ![]() ![]() Because also high damage and a fast TTK makes a game tactical, because you have to think where to send your troops and and you have to ponder if a fight is necessary or not. The lower damage does not make the game more tactical. You can not explain to me that this is a good game feature. A 3 men squad gets nearly no damage through the direct fire of a Wirbelwind tank by just standing behind a tank barrier.Ĥ.MG crews need to deal damage to units behind green cover, because now a standard rifel unit can kill a MG-crew sitting in a building. A rifel man unit standing in green cover does not get surpressed and is able to defeat a MG-Crew placed inside a building. So two rifle units, standing behind green cover, can spend 10 min shooting at each other without a singel loss. If units are behind green cover obstacles they nearly do not get any damage. Weapons like the Kar 98 do not deal enough damage to be effective.Ģ. ![]() If you use Grenadiers or other long range rifel based units you can be sure, that you do not hit any enemy. ![]()
